Scout-Up Your Summer is taking place on Scouting estate Zeewolde. Scouting estate Zeewolde is a large and relatively new camping- and event terrain linked to Scouting in The Netherlands. The estate is located in The Horsterwold, a large natural area centred in The Netherlands. The official opening took place on June 13th, 2015 and was performed by Queen Maxima. Since March 2016 everyone can make use of the facilities and activities being offered here, both on- and offsite and with a mix of land- and water based activities. Scouting groups from both within The Netherlands as well as from all over the world have already used this terrain for summer- and weekend camps and activities. Since September 2015 the estate is also in use for large, national, activities such as Nawaka, the NJ and the Scout-in, a festival for volunteers from within scouting.

Terrain layout

Scout-Up Your Summer is split into two sub terrains. One dedicated to Scouts and the other to Explorers. Joining with both age groups? The choice is up to you whether to combine activities like eating or keep them separated. All sub camps are open to visit but tents and programmes are split by age groups.

Location on the terrain

Scouting estate Zeewolde is a large and vast terrain with lots of different fields. Based on the total amount of reservations we will decide what the best place will be for Scout-Up Your Summer. The location will follow on a map, here on this page. Where ever Scout-Up Your Summer will be placed, you can be sure to camp on a beautiful campsite.

Arrival/ departure

New groups, arriving at either the 4th, 11th or 18th of July can pitch their tents at 13.00. At the departure days 11th, 18th and 25th of July we ask of you to have your terrain emptied and cleaned by 11.00. At 10.00 there will be a closing ceremony, after that everyone is free to leave as soon as their terrain is checked.

Communal tent and shelters

Centrally placed at the Scout-Up Your Summer terrain there will be a large tent of approximately 97m2 which will be used as central location. Here you can charge your phone, start most of your activities and it’s also the meeting point for the leader meetings. Besides this tent there are two large tarps on the terrain for use of all visitors of Scouting estate Zeewolde. These tarps offer both shadow and protection from rain when needed.
